: Traces et empreintes présente une sélection de dessins et une vidéo réalisés sur le thème de l'interdépendance. Habitée par l'expérience de la maternité, je me suis intéressée aux phénomènes physiques et psychiques qui permettent le passage de la fusion à la séparation dans la relation mère-enfant. Projection, incorporation et dyade sont quelques-unes des notions qui inspirent les dispositifs, la structure et le sujet des œuvres. En écho à l'importance du toucher chez le nouveau-né, j'ai choisi une approche tactile, privilégiant davantage la trace et l'empreinte que la ligne dessinée. Toucher, frotter, écraser, coudre, déchirer prennent source dans le double désir de liaison et de détachement et deviennent les indices d'une friction avec le monde; friction qui renvoie au moi-peau par l'intermédiaire du support-papier comme surface sensible. Chaque geste, chaque direction engage la main dans un processus réflexif où sujet et objet s'incluent par le jeu d'empreintes par frottis. En travaillant à partir d'un vocabulaire simple et abstrait, tel que le cube et le cercle, je réfère à ma perception d'un corps-espace fragmenté, transformé et poreux. Les dessins commémorent la relation mère-enfant tout en ramenant l'attention sur l'acte même de dessiner. La vidéo qui accompagne les dessins affirme une subjectivité féminine à travers un jeu de miroir entre le dessin, le sujet qui dessine et le regardeur.
